Sławomir Majchrowski
Education
Sławomir Majchrowski graduated from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Chemistry. In 1997-1998 he completed post-graduate studies of Marketing and Management at Wrocław University of Economics and Business, and Financial Analysis (2012-2013). He completed the management programme at ICAN Institute (2008-2009) and Competitive Strategy course at INSEAD (2012).
Experience
In 2006-2008 he worked for SIGMAKALON and in 1997-2006 for Polifarb Cieszyn Wrocław S.A. where he was Regional Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and Member of the Management Board. He was one of the key people involved in creating Dekoral brand and developing the concept of the chain of own retail stores Centrum Dekoracyjne Dekoral, and franchise and partner retail stores Studio Dekoral.
In 2008-2019 he worked with PPG – the global paints and coatings manufacturer. He worked in the positions related to commercial activities of the PPG Deco Polska, leader of the decorative paints industry in Poland.
Between 2008 and 2013 he was the Management Board Member, Marketing Director responsible for the company marketing strategy, management of the company own retail store chain and post-acquisition integration of two companies into the PPG structures.
In 2013 he was appointed the President of the Management Board of PPG Deco Polska and held this position until he left the company at the end of 2019. As the President, together with the Management Board and authorised representatives, he managed two subordinate production plants and the commercial side of the decorative paints business in Poland. He developed and implemented a strategy for improving cost effectiveness, made necessary investments and restructuring. He managed sales process in three channels: traditional, hardware stores chain, and own retail stores concentrated on professional contractors. At the same time, he held the position of the Supervisory Board Chairman in ‘Chemia Lublin’ and ‘Polifarb Gliwice’.
In 2017 he also became PPG Regional Marketing Director for Central Europe and Member of the Regional Executive Committee taking responsibility for marketing and product strategy on these markets. Among other things, he restructured the product range, introduced joint marketing and product concepts, e.g. a refreshed concept of a chain of own and franchise retail stores in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary that contributed to cost synergy and sales increase. He participated in innovation mapping and creating joint marketing concepts for Eastern and Central Europe markets.
Since the beginning of 2020 he has been working for the Company as Director of the Interior & Decoration Division, being responsible for the division’s strategy and the implementation of business objectives in the area of end-user solutions in all Selena markets.
On 30 November 2020, by a resolution of the Supervisory Board of Selena FM S.A., he was appointed to the Management Board of the company as the Vice President of the Management Board for Commercial Affairs as of 1 January 2021.
On 27 May 2021, by a resolution of the Supervisory Board of Selena FM S.A., he was appointed as the Vice President of the Management Board for Commercial Affairs of the company for a new term of office.
On 30 June 2023, by a resolution of the Supervisory Board of Selena FM S.A., he was appointed as the President of the Management Board of the company as of 1 July 2023.
