Selena Insulations is the Group’s newest production plant located in the Special Economic Zone “Astana – new city”. The plant has 50 employees and its production capacity allows approx. 120 thousand tons of modern construction chemicals to be manufactured per year. The launch of the Astana plant has facilitated the Group’s further expansion into new markets. Ultimately, more than 40% of the production will be exported to the countries of Central Asia and to southern Siberia. Selena Insulations is one of the Group’s 17 production plants located around the world, notably in Europe, South America and Asia. It produces modern mortars for thermal insulation of houses and innovative wet thin-coat plasters: acrylic, silicone and silicate ones. The Tytan brand products are manufactured using the same technologies as those that Selena applies at its plants in Poland, Spain, Turkey, Brazil or Korea. In many markets, including in Kazakhstan, the Tytan brand is synonymous with quality and reliability, and is appreciated by both professionals and individual users.
Selena Insulations is more than just a production facility, it is also a modern distribution centre. The Group’s offer for the local market includes more than 200 products, and the company operates from its branches in Almaty, Shymkent, Atyrau, Aktobe, Aktau and Karaganda.
“The visit of President Andrzej Duda to Selena Insulations production plant in Kazakhstan is both an honour and a sign of trust for the company. Over the 25 years of its existence, Selena has become a global leader in the construction chemicals sector and our production plant and the distribution centre in Astana is a flagship example of modernity, as well as a model for other firms in the region. For years, Selena has been actively involved in shaping Poland’s relations with Kazakhstan. The position of a market leader in Central and Eastern Asia has been achieved thanks to, among others, formation of a strong team of Polish and Kazakh specialists, supported by Selena’s international experience gained in many markets. Kazakhstan is one of our company’s core markets and the visit of the Polish President reminds us all about the importance of international cooperation and the joint achievements at the company with Polish roots and global operations” – said Krzysztof Domarecki, the founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Selena FM S.A.
