Selena Group’s Management Board is joined by Walter Brattinga as Chief Commercial Officer

The Supervisory Board of Selena FM S.A. decided on 23 February 2024 to appoint Walter Brattinga, who has also held the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) since 15 February, to the company’s Management Board. He will assume his duties as the new Management Board Member for Commercial Affairs effective 1 March 2024 and will be responsible for creating and implementing the company’s commercial strategy. This decision is intended to increase sales and strengthen Selena Group’s global market position. Previously, the role of CCO was held by the Group’s current CEO, Sławomir Majchrowski.

Walter Brattinga recently joined Selena Group to take up the position of Chief Commercial Officer. Now he will also join the Group’s Management Board, underscoring the importance of the company’s strategic direction of global trade development. Walter Brattinga has over 10 years of general management experience and many years of B2B and B2C cooperation know-how. He has broad skills in business strategy and development, as well as brand and product portfolio management. At Selena Group, he will be responsible for the entire commercial area of the company. He will assume his new duties as a board member on 1 March 2024.

Before joining the Selena Group, Walter Brattinga was a Managing Director at the Coram Group, which offers bathroom fittings from renowned manufacturers. Prior to that, he worked for the German chemical company Henkel for more than 20 years, where his roles included marketing director of Henkel China, based in Shanghai, overseeing the strategy and positioning of the conglomerate’s brands in China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia, and general manager of the company’s consumer adhesives division in the UK, with responsibility for the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark markets. Brattinga commenced his professional journey as Brand Manager at Moët Hennessy Netherlands, where he successfully managed high-profile brands, like Dom Pérignon, Moët & Chandon, Hennessy, Glenmorangie and Drambuie, setting a strong foundation in brand management.

At every stage of his career, Walter Brattinga has consistently showcased an exceptional aptitude for leading teams to success, driving innovation and change, and implementing strategic growth initiatives that have not only benefited the companies he has led but also significantly contributed to the business performance of their customers and partners.

He is a graduate of Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands, majoring in Business Administration. He also completed a management program at Cranfield University as well as the advanced management program at IESE Business School.
