Selena Group, one of the leading producers and distributors of construction chemicals and the owner of the TYTAN brand – has announced its estimated financial results for 2018. Consolidated revenue is to reach PLN 1.23 billion, up 4.2% year-on-year. EBIT is estimated at PLN 52.3 million, up 20.4% year-on-year, and net profit is to stand at PLN 26.66 million, nearly three times more than in 2017. Accordingly, the EPS will reach PLN 1.17.
„In 2018, we were working on achieving the best possible adaptation to the market, particularly to the growing prices of raw materials. We have also implemented new, innovative solutions that will ensure a long-term increase in margins for the Group. We expect demand to increase mainly for products that improve work efficiency on the construction site, namely the products mitigating the shortage of labour, including through faster application and versatile use. At the same time, they have a tangible impact on accelerating the speed of execution. We have increased the stocks of the fastest-moving products in the central warehouse by almost 25% and have renegotiated contracts with our partners – in this way, we have increased the availability of goods. At the same time, we have prepared for implementation of innovative technologies that affect both durability and quality of work, and are key to one of the aspects that professionals seek most, namely speed. This mainly relates to the new fast standard for assembly of final fix joinery and framed partition systems”, says Elżbieta Korczyńska, member of the Management Board of Selena FM S.A.
Selena Group is consistently developing its range of products based on hybrid polymers and is steadily increasing the share of these products in total sales. The use of hybrids allows work to be done faster, while maintaining high quality and very good pro-environmental parameters, as an answer to the growing requirements of professional contractors regarding the materials used.
Selena Group has been on the market for 25 years. It has over 30 companies in 17 countries and 17 production plants. Its success is underpinned by the work of nearly 1800 people, including 700 employed in Poland. It is the only Polish brand in the construction chemicals sector that sells products in 70 countries on four continents. Depending on the product group, Selena’s market share ranges from several percent to nearly forty percent. At present, it is one of the three largest producers of polyurethane foam in the world.
