Selena Group – global manufacturer and distributor of construction chemicals – was awarded in the contest „Polish Company – International Champion”, held by PricewaterhouseCoopers Poland, as the patron of the Polish Business Support Program Polish Champion. The Selena Group won the special award for the Group’s contribution to the promotion of the Polish brand abroad.
The award gala was held on 4 September 2012 during the 22nd Economic Forum in Krynica – Zdroj, Poland. On behalf of the company, the distinction was presented to Krzysztof Domarecki, Selena chairman of the supervisory board.
“We are glad that Selena’s international operations were appreciated by the jury. 70% of our sales are abroad and our flagship brand is sold in several dozen countries round the globe – among others, in Russia, China, South Korea, Turkey, Romania, USA and Brazil. Throughout our markets we offer high quality products tailored to our customers’ needs” – said Krzysztof Domarecki, chairman of Selena FM SA supervisory board.
In the contest „Polish Company – International Champion”, Selena was honoured for its „contribution to the promotion of the Polish brand abroad”. The Selena Group comprises 30 companies, has production plants on 3 continents and its products are sold in over 70 countries worldwide. Selena’s key brands are Tytan and Artelit. As premium brands of the highest quality, they are distributed on the Group’s all major markets. Both the brands have a firm and strong stance in the Polish, domestic market as well as in other countries of Central Europe, which is further confirmed by high customer brand-awareness and recognition among the end-users. Recognition and popularity of both Tytan and Artelit is growing steadily also among the customers from Eastern Europe and South-Eastern Asia (e.g. in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan).
The Selena Group has received numerous distinctions in the most prestigious rankings in Poland. They include, among others: the Teraz Polska Promotional Emblem, Forbes’s Diamond, Pearl of the Polish Economy, Construction Company of the Year 2010 and 2011 in the contest organized by the Builder monthly magazine. Moreover, TYTAN Professional, as the only brand in the category „Construction Chemistry” in Poland was distinguished as the Premium Brand in the ranking by Millward Brown SMG/KRC Institute and was honoured with the title Brand of High Reputation.
The goal of the contest „Polish Company – International Champion” is the promotion of Polish companies that have been significantly successful in the foreign markets – either as importers or as exporters. The contest is also to promote the advantages that come from such operations – not only for the companies themselves, but also for the entire Polish economy. In order to be eligible for the contest, the companies had to originate from Poland, be based on Polish capital and have made an acquisition abroad in the last five years and/or, run broad export operations and be successful in the foreign markets.
